Volunteer Application Process

Step 1 - Watch the Online Information Session

Step 2 – Ensure commitment to outlined volunteer expectations:

      -15 years of age or older (at time of application)
     - provide two references 
     - complete the entire application process

Step 3 – Apply Here

Step 4 – Arrange for the completion of two references (one professional, one character).  Once complete, contact Volunteer Engagement to schedule an interview.

Step 5 – Interview –Please bring the completed Reference forms to your interview.

Step 6 – Begin to complete the Health Review and Police Clearance Check *please note that completion of the application process, does not guarantee placement at Brant Community Healthcare System*

Step 7 – Complete Online Orientation requirements (provided at interview)

Step 8 – Attend Volunteer Orientation –The goal of orientation is to help the volunteer feel comfortable in their new role and environment.

Step 9 – Submit and wait – once all paperwork is completed, health clearance has been granted, and you have attended an orientation a coordinator will contact you with the next steps.

Step 10 – Office Orientation – New volunteer will be given a general tour of the Volunteer Engagement office, meet other volunteers, receive their security ID badge, receive/purchase their uniform.  This usually takes place on your start date.

Step 11 – Training – In addition to the Orientations, volunteers may be required to attend specific program training.

Step 12 – Start volunteering!
