Dialysis Unit
The S.C. Johnson Dialysis Unit at The Brantford General Hospital provides hemodialysis to 80 clients from Brantford/Brant County. These patients are cared for by the St. Joseph's nephrology physicians and nurses from the Brant Community Healthcare System in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.
Patients: To access the Dialysis Unit, please use the interior entrance located on A-Wing, Level 1 next to the BCHS Foundation office. The exterior entrance located next to the A-Wing Tim Hortons has transitioned to a staff-only entrance requiring badge access.
What this program does:
The hemodialysis program at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton provides over 75,000 hemodialysis treatments annually. Outpatient hemodialysis occurs at our four locations: Charlton Campus, King Campus, Six Nations at White Pines Wellness Centre, and Brantford General Hospital.
How this program helps:
Each SJHH Hemodialysis Unit provides specialized nephrology multidisciplinary services for patients through access to a primary Nephrologist, Primary Care Nurse (PCN), Registered Nurses, Vascular Access Nurses, Dialysis Technologists, pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, and diabetes educators.
