COVID-19 Outbreak Declared Over on B7 Medical at Brantford General Hospital

Brantford, ON – An outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared over on the B7 Medical Inpatient floor at Brantford General Hospital.
The outbreak was declared Friday, January 7, when the unit met the criteria for an outbreak. In total, 19 individuals tested positive in connection to the outbreak.
In consultation with the Brant County Health Unit, Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) has declared the outbreak over as of February 9, 2022. Please note that the B5 Surgical unit remains in outbreak status at this time.
BCHS extends sincere thanks to all staff and physicians for their continued dedication and diligence to ensure all patients receive safe, high quality care.
To the community, BCHS expresses gratitude for ongoing support throughout the pandemic, and encourages people to continue following all public health protocols to stay safe and protect against COVID-19.
