COVID-19 Outbreaks Declared Over on B6 Medical and Willett Transitional Units

Brantford, ON – An outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared over on the Transitional Unit at The Willett Site in Paris, and on the B6 Medical Inpatient floor at Brantford General Hospital.
The outbreak at the Willett was declared Thursday, January 6, when five individuals tested positive for COVID-19. In total, 24 individuals tested positive in connection to the outbreak.
The B6 outbreak was declared at Brantford General Hospital on January 7, and in total, 21 individuals tested positive in connection to the outbreak.
In consultation with the Brant County Health Unit, Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) has declared the outbreaks over as of January 24, 2022. Please note that 3 units at Brantford General Hospital, B5 Surgical, B7 Medical and B8 Medical, remain in outbreak status at this time.
BCHS extends sincere thanks to all staff and physicians for their continued dedication and diligence to ensure all patients receive safe, high quality care. The heroic efforts of our front line teams to control the outbreak has been exemplary.
