Project Grand

Project Grand is the digital health transformation strategy at BCHS.

Project Grand takes its name from the Grand River, symbolising the ongoing transformation and evolution that reflects BCHS’s commitment to digital progress. This initiative addresses our current mix of digital and paper-based systems, transitioning us toward fully integrated digital workflows and laying the foundation for future advancements in digital health.

Initiatives under Project Grand include:

• Equina - secure messaging and scheduling for physicians and professional staff
• Firstline: Enhancing our Antimicrobial Stewardship program
• Project AMPLIFI: Strengthening data connections between acute and long-term facilities.
• MEDITECH Expanse Hospital Information System (HIS): Our largest endeavor, empowering our providers and staff with advanced tools.

These and other transformative projects will further integrate BCHS with our surrounding communities and enhance the care we provide to the communities we serve.
